A mid-career pivot in an era of longevity, change and uncertainty needs to take the following things (at least) into account;
💡The context of a changing world of work, where we need to make the prospect of living and working longer a blessing rather than a curse.
💡Mindsets and behaviors that build resilience and foster creativity and thriving (because midcareer change is neither easy or fast)
💡Concrete, actionable strategies for reinventing your career and professional identity, combining action and reflection.
In preparation for a workshop on the subject, I had reason to dig up three extremely valuable books I have relied a lot upon when redesigning my own career and when supporting others to do the same.
The 100 year life by Lynda Gratton and Andrew J Scott
Tomorrowmind by Gabriella Rosen Kellerman, MD and Martin Seligman
Working Identity by Herminia Ibarra
